Cliffs of Loiba

In the north of the province of A Coruña we find one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of the Galician coast.

I assume that you know this place for its famous bench, where hundreds of people go to take photos, but we go further, we want you to enjoy this place as it deserves.

The Loiba cliffs are located halfway between Ortigueira and Cabo Ortegal, and there is no better place to enjoy these views than from the Coitelo viewpoint.

You will discover why it has this name when you visit it and appreciate the enormous sharp rocks that the coast has. A unique place full of cliffs that reach up to 200 m, among which we find different islets and the occasional beach without access.

One of the most beautiful details of this landscape is the enormous rock of Pena Furada, pierced by the sea.

As a precaution, take into account the times of rise and fall of the tide, it is easy to remain spellbound looking at the rock and the tide will rise if we do not plan it.

Without a doubt, this is a natural landscape worthy of a hiking route, where you will enjoy an impressive fauna and flora.

There are many rest areas with wooden tables and benches, you will find Picón beach, which is worth going down some steps that reach it. It is surrounded by dark colored cliffs and is an idyllic place to relax and unwind.

That is why it is said that this area of Galicia is the least known and at the same time the most different.
